FPA World 2

Otherwise known as Fancy Pants Adventures World 2, this is an adventure game where you play as a stick figure man simply called Fancy Pants out to gain revenge on a rabbit that stole your ice cream. Fancy Pants must travel through a series of worlds to reach the rabbit's lair and take back what is rightfully his!

The game plays out a lot like Sonic the Hedgehog in that the world stages are designed to make Fancy Pants run fast if you just press forward, allowing Fancy Pants to run upside down on loopy trails and hills depending on the layout of the level. However, as the slogan of the game suggests, "be fancy", the player is given a number of options to perform a variety of flashy and creative moves. For example, if Fancy Pants is running in one direction and the player suddenly changes direction and hits the jump button at the same time, the character will perform a high jumping backflip.

FPA World 2 demonstrates excellent physics and animation. Physics in this flash game give life to the character. A particular part in the game that shows off these physics is when Fancy Pants runs across tar, especially on walls. When you run on tar, the character can slide across the terrain if the player presses the down button, however, another one of Fancy Pant's fancy moves is if he jumps on a spring towards a tar-riddled wall, he'll actually slide up. The speed at which he can slide up the wall depends on how early in the spring jump you decided to hit the wall. The earlier you touch the wall, the faster the character will slide upwards because of the force from the spring. On the flip side, if you hit the wall too late, Fancy Pants will not be able to cover much distance.

The character itself has a bunch of animations that aren't really needed to beat the game. For instance, if you press forward against a wall he'll place his back towards it and gesture his arms in a way as if he's 007 holding a gun, or when you run and press and hold down on the keyboard a trail of dirt follows behind the character, or if you don't press any button for a while Fancy Pants will whip out a comb and accidentally turn his hair into an afro. This wide range of extra animations gives a personality to the character, allowing players to connect with Fancy Pants and make the game world a lot more enjoyable.
