Adam Byrne attended Ringling College of Art and Design and graduated in 1999 with a BFA in Computer Animation. Since then, he has worked on numerous AAA titles including World of Warcraft, the Metroid series and God of War - Chains of Olympus for PSP (though it is not clear on what he worked on with Metroid or God of War 'CoO').
Currently, Adam is working at Ready at Dawn* studios as a Senior Animator on an unannounced title.
*("Ready at Dawn" is an Irvine, CA based company that has produced "Okami" for Wii, "Daxter" for PSP, and "God of War - Chains of Olympus")
Adam Byrne has a very unique cartoonized style in most of the work that he does professionally as well as personally. He is able to adapt his work as the project needs him to, though at heart his stylization is very noticable. Byrne's work can be seen in World of Warcraft almost immediately after starting up the game and using the /dance command.
Adam Byrne worked on Graphics Design for the documentary "Spellbound" that was released in 2002.
Byrne was the animator behind the Male Orc dance** (a blend between MC Hammer's "Hammertime" and common moves from Dance Dance Revolution [DDR], one of Byrne's favorite games) as well as the Male Night Elf dance** (Michael Jackon's "Thriller"). [source needed]
Byrne also did the animation for the Alliance Gryphon's flight** as well as program sequences for the flight paths throughout Azeroth**. Most notably, he created the animation of the Onyxia encounter** (which is still being replicated today) as well as generated the concept art behind the Human Female Mage and the Undead Female Warlock.
