Push is a casual platform game with a twist: The ability to push the ground and your surroundings with the click of the mouse. Such a small alteration, but it makes all the difference. By being able to do one more action the way you play an progress is completely different and in some ways more challenging. The main goal is to simply reach the golden square placed somewhere in the level by moving across, climbing on and pushing the platforms.
Personally I like the art within the game. It's an interesting take on the old 8 bit game look with large blocky pixels, only they have textures to distinguish the type of land they are: Normal, Climbable, Breakable, Ice, Fire and Victory square. Every level follows a theme and can get very complex as you get farther into the game. Some times it can be just a matter of pushing the victory square to you and others it involves climbing and sliding and timing your jumps in order to make it. The most interesting part is that this one mechanic that allows you to push can lead you to discover your own way of getting through the level, this level of freedom is hard to come by in most platformer games. Overall, a very intriguing game, yet not as addicting as other platformer games I've played.
They inject a little nostalgic humor into the game aswell.
