After Hideki Kamiya graduated college, he applied for various jobs with game developers. He became a designer in 1994 with Capcom, and ended up planning the game Resident Evil, and directed Resident Evil 2. Other games he directed were the games Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe, and Okami. Before Clover Studio's closed down in late 2006, Kamiya joined with former Capcom workers in order to create a new company called Platinum Games.
Kamiya cares more about the quality of his work than how many games sell. He normally uses the older games that he use to play as a child for references. The one game that served as the most inspiration was Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
Okami: An extremely beautiful game, with 3-D watercolor style. Your character is the wolf goddess Okami that holds the power of nature in a brush.
