A lot of our techniques here are aimed at addressing the specific problems described above. These are all related to the the idea of workflow; in particular with the questions 'where does our work come from?', 'where do we do our work?' and 'where does our work go to?'. In this context, we are asking very practical questions, with very physical, literal answers. When we consider the sources of work, we expect answers like 'pigeonhole', 'office in-tray' and 'voicemail'; not 'deputy head', 'parents' or 'colleagues'.
