Heck, we can't have a section in TM4T which doesn't involve a lump of practical planning and preparation. You need to answer a few questions, and these questions are much better answered before you actually start. These questions include - in no particular order:
When are you going to do your meditation? Ten minutes doesn't sound a lot, but for many teachers it is desperately hard to find. Not only that, but you need to find a time which works as a regular, daily event. Otherwise, it risks being swept away by the juggernaut of other scheduled activities. For TM4T users, this is easy: it needs to be included in your Weekly Plan; ideally at the same time each day. Mornings seem to be best for most teachers, but I do understand what child-care involves; any time is OK, though meditating after meals is sometimes better called 'dozing'.
How are you going to remember? Well again, the Weekly Plan is the best answer, but the key is to do it so regularly that it just becomes part of your daily routine.
What do you need and where will you keep it? Depending on your chosen method, you may need MP3s, or a CD player, or just a clock to time your meditation.
Where are you going to do your meditation? Somewhere private; somewhere comfortable; somewhere fairly quiet, though a bit of background noise is not a problem and is sometimes helpful. Somewhere without glare, though a bit of natural light is helpful. A chair or somewhere else to sit is nice. Comfortable clothes are helpful, so choose somewhere that a loosened tie and slackened belt will not be embarrassing.
Who are you going to tell? Of course, you don't have to tell anyone... but if you are going to sit in the semi-dark in the Chemistry store-room, it's probably best to tell the lab assistant beforehand.
