The leadership of the school have a moral obligation to ensure:
That teachers have adequate control over how they carry out their duties, inside and outside the classroom
That teachers have adequate control over their workload and work pressures.
That the teachers' roles and responsibilities are clearly defined in writing
That the roles of all staff and other stakeholders are understood by teachers, and that those roles do not conflict
That the teacher's workload is reasonable and compatible with the teacher's skills and experience
That the teacher's work environment is fit for purpose, and that the school is a safe place
That management styles in the school are not seen as bullying or dictatorial
That effective systems are in place to manage student behaviour
That teachers receive both physical support (resources) and emotional support (appreciation, respect)
That the level of organisational change (policies, procedures) is reasonable
That changes are communicated effectively and sensitively
That change is planned and implemented professionally
