Now some of you might have been a bit sniffy about the case studies earlier in this section: teachers wandering round the school, picking up work here and dropping it off there. 'So what?' you might reasonably ask. 'It only takes a minute or two to pop to the staff room, and the IT office is only down the corridor - what's the big deal?'.
Well, let me share something amazing with you. You may have heard this before, but I don't think it matters. It still surprises me every time I see it. I still check my arithmetic in case I have got it wrong.
This icon will appear periodically in future sections of the website. What it means is this: if you can save five minutes a day - just five minutes - most teaching days in a year - that's 180 days, you will save an astonishing fifteen hours. For most teachers this is the equivalent of an extra two or three day's holiday each year. This is what you gain EVERY TIME you identify a five-minute time-saver in your daily routine.
