You should always have a plan for what you are going to do; this plan should focus on lessons (largely lesson planning and assessment); but should have specific timeslots for other work (Ticks-and Twos and Tens). This is important because you must respond to interruptions and distractions in your life; you will not react, otherwise you will not be in control.
Your planning will cover both everyday tasks, by doing things in a planned, routine way at regular times of the week; and special events (for example, annual reports) which will be broken down into tasks on your Yearly Plan.
