Relaxation and Life Balance are vital in time management and you must work to remember this as you plan your time.

Many of us in 21st Century Western society prioritise our time instinctively. This means that we concentrate on what we consider important (for example our student's learning and our teaching careers) at the expense of activities which carry less status (for example social and leisure time). Our priorities are dictated by our cultural and academic backgrounds and do not always reflect either medical opinion or common sense.

If we fail to take a balanced view of life which takes into account both work and health, we risk sacrificing success in both.

The TM4T method is explicit in this regard. You are not working efficiently in order to create time for you to do more work. You are working efficiently to make your life better.
