TM4T Lifestyle 2.2 - Rain Day Projects
During a teacher's busy life, ideas pop up; ideas that are too good to throw away, but too big to be dealt with straight away. TM4T calls these Rainy Day Projects, and describes how they are dealt with here.
So, at the end of the year, you have - in your Notepad, a list of ideas which seemed great at the time. This is what you should do:
Choose a time to review these, wearing your Analyst hat. A creative time.
Sort them into two piles: a pile which is clearly only to do with teaching. We are not going to deal with these during our vacation time; a pile which is more to do with your subject discipline.
Plan some time to do only those ideas which are connected to your chosen subject discipline - this is part of your Groundwork and should be tackled during your vacations.
Any ideas which are solely to do with teaching, produce an Action Plan to define what you are going to do with them next year.
