In the early summer I realized that I would be very angry if a carbon frame was damaged.
I decided to turn back to alloy, trying out a 29er to make sure I'm getting something new.

Candidates:

Scott Scale 40 alu, XT/SLX, Reba
Orbea Alma 29er H10, alu, full XT, Recon Gold => Fox F32 + Formula RX @ http://www.orbea-versand.de 2100 EUR
Giant XtC 29er 1 alu, SLX/M505, Fox F32 tapered/thru-axle

I ended up buying the Giant XtC 29er.
