"Cardiovascular disease is the #1 killer of women, but as a woman, even if you know that, you’re probably too busy most days to think about it. But you should think about it, because what you do each day in part determines your risk for developing cardiovascular disease and suffering its life-threatening consequences..."Retrieved from http://www.scai.org/SecondsCount/Disease/Women.aspx?gclid=CNLCypi8ob0CFe1QOgodnGMABw

Sadly, Heart Disease affects millions of women throughout the USA. In previous years, I've normally associated the month of February with Valentines Day and Black History Month. Straight forwardly speaking, the month February, over the years has been a great month to remember a love one, spouse,or that special person in your life with flowers, a specialty card ,and chocolates in honor of the Valentine tradition. To be truthful,Valentine's Day and Black History Month both of the traditions I began to recognize and honor as student in the Public School System, two traditions that got everyone involved from teachers to parents to students and volunteers. While it is one of the shortest month of the year, the list of events and sponsored activities within the month continue to grow as charities and causes began to take action and empower women on issues of Women Health.Traditionally designated as the month to honor and give recognition to the young and old on Valentine's Day along with honoring and recognizing the accomplishments of Afro Americans past and present throughout the month as a part of Black History Celebration, women all across the United States now have more event to add to their calendar in the month of February,GoRedForWomen. Founded in is an organization that promotes education and awareness of Heart Disease within women. Recently,in the past five years,Ive come to associate the month of February as the month to promote GoRed ForWomen initiative to educate women about the dangers of Heart Disease. As a result of the GoRedFor Women initiative ,each year around this time,I pause from work schedule to learn and get educated about Heart Disease. Admittedly, one of the ways I get educate about Heart Disease is through the GoRedFor Women website. Reaching millions of women across the USA GoRedForWomen is educating and teaching women how to recognize the signs as well as how to prevent Heart Disease. Why is understanding Heart Disease important? At forty-something Heart Disease is an issue I want know more about because I know my heart isnt the same__say as it was when I was twenty-something. Although, the truth about Heart Disease, it could arise in a women as young as twenty. Thanks to GoRedForWomen, women of all ages has a a place to visit,an advocacy for Heart Disease in women, a reason to save the date_ February 7th on their calendars, and a new tradition to passed on to their family. To conclude,as Founder and President of csaccac Inc, I liked to encourage each of you to save the date, make it a tradition, and the get the facts about Heart Disease.
