Among the numerous events,charities and causes promoted in the month of October,the month of October has also been designated to warn consumers and shoppers of the dangers of surfing the internet. Identity theft,Hacked accounts,Credit fraud,Scam alerts,and Viruses,October is Cyber Protection and Cyber Security Awareness Month. With an increase of internet use,consumers and shoppers put themselves at risk to certain dangers specifically associated with internet use. Unequivocally,Cyber Protection and Cyber Security should not be taken lightly by consumers and shoppers. As a matter of fact ,an increase in Cyber Protection and Cyber Security Awareness has grown in recent years due to the millions of consumer and shoppers that frequent the internet on a quotidian. Exactly, What is Cyber Protection and Cyber Security? In short,for the internet user it is taking certain safety measures to prevent theft or loss of personal and private information. Currently,some of the most popular apps on the internet such as Facebook,Twitter,LinkedIn,Pintrest,and Google+ requires some basic personal information from consumers and shoppers. For the most part, internet use requires consumers and shoppers to use common sense and practice basic safety measures. While social apps such as Facebook,Twitter,LinkedIn,Pintrest,and Google+ only ask for basic personal information their remains a tantamount of apps and web sites that inquires a little further into a consumer and shoppers background. Straight forwardly speaking, Im on the internet a lot during the week,I even have multiple email accounts,I shop online,Im signed up with several Social Networking sites,and I have had my Twitter account hacked;therefore,I feel__I have a pretty good understanding of the importance of Cyber Protection and Cyber Security To conclude,consumers and shoppers who use the internet at home,at work,and at school,it is important to know the dangers of internet use and the various safety precautions available for all internet users. As a part of increasing Cyber Safety Awareness, along with all of the stuff on your to-do-list, this month, I encourage all internet users to get famliarized with Cyber Protection and Cyber Security.As I approach the end of this special message,in safety first,a monthly article inside the csaccac eNewsletter,I list a few safety tips for consumers and shoppers who frequently uses the internet,listed below is a recap of those safety tips.
