A note from the Editor's desk;
What is President's Day? A national day to honor and remember two past presidents (Lincoln and Washington) both of whom made significant contributions to U. S. history , President’s Day is observed in U. S public schools and businesses . I first learned of President’s Day as student in the public school system somewhere between kindergarten and first grade. Several years of being taught U. S. history,one of the history lessons that has stayed with me over the years is having to memorize the list of U. S. Presidents names. When I hear of President’s Day_ I, immediately turn my thoughts to the constitution and the Emancipation Proclamation. Influenced by George Washington the first President of the U. S and Abraham Lincoln the sixteenth President of the United States the documents stands as guides for Human Rights. Establish to honor the first Presidents, George Washington_eventhough, Washington birthday is February 22nd, President's day is observed on February 15th,the day is often a reminder of the events throughout U.S. History and each of the presidents contribution. Forty-something years late, Americans and businesses continue to observe President’s Day. As the years progress, the day is commemorated with public speeches, parades, and sales. While working to complete my degree program(BBA) at Strayer, I observed both Presidents Day and Washington's Birthday. From this Editor point of view,Presidents Day is a great time to refresh up on U. S. History.
Happy President's Day 😊
