A slice of the pie,I am not going to lie to you_if I said that during the month of October I do think about Pumpkin pie ,Pumpkin bread,and Pumpkin cheesecake. I probably think more about Pumpkin pie than anything else, of course life isnt always a piece of pie. In life you have your do’s and dont’s along with a list of rules and traditions, I first really became aware of the do’s and dont’s,of many of lifes rules in kindergarten. Throughout the years, Ive found that no matter where you go in life you will find that almost all people actually each person has a list of do’s and dont’s as well as rules to live by and traditions that never age. For instance_ do listen when other s speak, do say please and thank you, do wash your hands before eating and do ask for receipt before leaving the store then there’s the dont’s_ don’t open unknown emails,dont leave your smartphone unlocked for prying eyes, dont text while driving,dont drink while driving,and dont put your feet on the coffee table. Ive learned in life the do’s and dont’s of life is to keep us from uneccessary harm,hurt and pain; where as,the rules of life is to keep us safe. When I think of the do’s and dont’s and rules to live by in the month of October, I tend to think of the Halloween tradition do find a safe place to trick and treat,do wait to open candy, do check the candy before eating, do where costumes that is visible in the dark, do find a group to hang with for the night either at home or in local neighbor, dont go out alone on door to door trick and treating, dont open the candy before you get home. In the years that I went trick and treating I followed many of do’s and dont’s associated with the Halloween tradition. As much as I love the Halloween tradition, I have sat on several Halloweens, but I do miss wearing the different costumes and handing out treats to the kids and young teens. At forty-something,even today I love many of traditions I grew up with as a young kid and young teen. To be honest tradition is great ,of course there’s some tradition that’s not so great. The Halloween tradition first began with ominous and mysterious notions I derived this though from the researched I performed a few years back from a Editor Note, today the tradition is much of lighthearted and fun event for both kids and adults. On to a much more serious thought, the month of October is also Breast and Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month
