sfw2423

Introduction:

Rebuilding the previous tapered wing into a swept forward wing. The previous one tip stalled too easily on anything but high speeds.

Components:

  • Foam board (foam chuck glider for fuselage)

  • 2x sg90 servos

  • King Kong 2204 2300kv motor with Gemfan 51466 prop

  • Unknown 20am ESC

  • DSM receiver

Conclusion:

181g dry.

Update 9/24/20: The winds finally died down low enough for the maiden. It flew really well and is even more stable than the pw2423 at low speeds. The next step will be to build a inav fpv version of this with 2205 motors.

Update 10/18/20: Flew this on 2x 2s 500mah packs in parallel. It actually flies ok on 2s as well. It does require quite a bit more throttle as the battery dies down, but it is manageable as long as cruising near full throttle at a slower pace doesn't bother you.
