MAMR5741

Introduction:

I didn't build it from scratch, but rather replaced some components and fixed it up.

Components:

  • Mid american multirotor 4" frame

  • Runcam Micro eagle

  • Emax mini magnum F4 6s tower with 35a ESC & 200mw vtx

  • Brotherhobby avenger 1507 4100kv motors

  • Frsky XM+ receiver

Conclusion:

200g dry. This is an older heavy 4" and my first 4" ever. It flies on 3s and actually handles quite well for an older motor. Unfortunately, I suspect that the props are not too efficient.

Update 11/21/20: Tried the gemfan 4023 props today and while they were smooth, there was just not enough grip on 3s. The control was a lot better on 4s, but there's quite a bit of propwash. I tried to tune it, but only had 2 packs and didn't get all the prop wash out. I have a feeling that the props are too bendy and are not stiff enough for the weight of this quad. I knew these props were for lightweight 4" quads, but wanted to give it a shot anyway.
