Introduction:

I didn't want to throw away the frame after it failed for the smaller 1104 motors. I felt the plane was just meant to fly at a higher speed, so I gave it a bigger motor. It'll be fun to see how it flies.

Components:

  • Foam board (foam chuck glider for fuselage)

  • 2x sg90 servos

  • King Kong 2204 2300kv motor with Gemfan 51466 prop

  • Unknown 20am ESC

  • DSM receiver

Conclusion:

177g dry. This was not meant for FPV. Just pure LOS fun.

The maiden went perfectly. This thing likes speed and flies like its on rails. Even with a 3s 850mah, it will only last 6 minutes or so since you never want to let go of the throttle. Pretty much full speed for the entire session. I need to experiment with more motor and prop combos since I think this hasn't reached the limit yet.
