Banshee310

Rebuilt after being stuck in a tree for a week.

Introduction

I ran out of crazybee boards, but I had plenty of motors to test, so I had to go back to the the teeny f4 pro stacks even though they weigh more.

Components

  • Teeny F4 pro 1-2s FC
  • Fishpepper 5a 4in1 esc 1-2s
  • Racerstar 1103 10000kv motors with Gemfan3025
  • RMRC Newt 3" frame
  • AKK A1 camera Eachine TX06
  • Frsky 8 channel receiver

Conclusion

I wanted to continue building and testing motors, but ran out of crazybee boads and good AIO cameras. I had to continue using the materials I had on hand, which were not ideal. I thought it would weigh a few grams more, but was surprised that the heavier components ended up weighing 43grams (7 grams more than the crazybee builds).

The build wasn't difficult, but using the A1 camera for the first time, I had to find the video out/in pins. Also, I made a mistake while soldering the fishpepper board and killed one of the escs. Thankfully, I had a spare board.

Flight times suffered in both 1 & 2s modes. It could be the increased weight, but could also be because of the higher kv motors.

Update 5/3/19: So this quad ended up being stuck on top of a tree for about a week or so and sat through 3 storms. When it came back down, the camera was not working and the FC OSD also malfunctioned. I put in a new Eachine TX06 and replaced the FC.

Weight stayed the same at 43 grams since the lighter camera was offset by heavier props.
