Introduction:

Now that I've played around enough with swept back wing combos, I'm starting to delve more into plank and swept forward wings to see how they perform. I really liked the previous swept forward wing, so I wanted to see how a plank would perform.

Components:

  • Dollar tree foam board with a foam noodle

  • Turnigy Plush 2-4s 10a esc with 5v2a BEC powering FC

  • DSM receiver

  • 2x Hextronic hxt500 servos powered by esc

  • Racerstar BR1306 3500kv with 4x4.5 propeller.

  • Eachine 1000TVL camera with FX799T vtx

Conclusion:

110 g dry w/o FPV gear. 139g dry with FPV gear. The build was fairly easy & straight forward.

The maiden went really well. After a couple tosses to find the approximate CG, the first flights were very smooth and uneventful even though there was more wind than I would have liked. I find that doing the maiden on a 2s instead of a 3s was a much better idea since it was overall lighter and more docile to trim out.

Overall, this is a great flier. It flies very docile and is perhaps my favorite fpv cruiser so far. It can fly fairly low without stalling but is still powerful enough to perform all types of aerobatics.
