Atom-5724

Introduction

I got these motors cheap, so decided to try all different combination motors.

Components

• Atom 3" frame
• Frsky xm+ receiver
• Tyro 79 camera/FC/ESC
• Racerstar 1507 2400kv motors
• VTX03s

Conclusion

This came to 149g dry.

Update 10/18/19 - I was finally able to get this working. The vtx works when plugged in, but goes to all static after applying throttle. I added a bigger cap, and also wired it directly to vbat, but nothing worked. I later changed the vtx to a vtx03s and everything worked perfectly. I'll need to find some time to maiden this again.

Update 10/19/19 - So this flew ok, not great. Definitely a 4s only quad since it needs 75% throttle just to hover on 3s. I can't say they're bad motors yet because I feel they're mismatched for this 3". I think this would probably work better on a 4" setup. I didn't like it on this quad, but I'm holding my judgement until I try these on a 4".
