Week 28 - Emily, Ashwin, Thilaanraj and Ru Khai came for past paper revision.

Week 27 - Covered a lot of topics - Media in sport, global events and gamesmanship/ sportsmanship.

Week 26 - Students spent all lessons filming for IGCSE (Completed all filming!!)

Week 25 - Students spent Thursday filming their sports.

Week 25 - Students Researched and presented findings on psychology in sport. Topics included relaxation techniques, anxiety, inverted U theory, arousal and personality traits.

Week 24 - Students covered the topic of injuries. How they are caused, prevented and treated.

Week 23 - Students continued to study performance enhancing drugs. New topic Risk and Risk Assessment started.

Week 22 - Students started the new topic of performance enhancing drugs.

Week 21 - FILMING - We partially filmed rounders and football.

Week 21 - FILMING - we started to film badminton for the coursework.

Week 20 - Lesson 35: Continued with recovery.

Week 20 - Lesson 34: Students learnt about aerobic and anaerobic energy systems. ad touched upon recovery.

Week 19 - Lesson 33: Circulatory system. Cardiac outputs, as long term benefits of exercise on the heart.

Week 18 - Lesson 31: Circulatory system. Students learnt about the heart, including the chambers and the mechanics of the heart as it pumps.

Week 17 - Lesson 30: Circulatory system. We continues to research the blood, as well as how it is transported through vessels. Students were introduced to the circulatory system.

Week 16 - Lesson 29: Circulatory system. We began the topic by looking at different components of bloody and its role in the body.

Week 15 - Lesson 28: Lung capacity and volumes. Students carried out practicals to work out their tidal volumes and vital capacity.

Week 15 - Lesson 27: Mechanics of breathing. The role of the diaphragm and intercostal muscles during respiration.

Week 14 - Lesson 26: Factors affecting participation in sport. Factors affecting access to sport. What can be done to promote participation in sport.

Week 13 - Lesson 25: Muscles Types.

Discussed slow twitch and fast twitch fibres and how they can affect an athlete.

Week 13 - Lesson 26: End of Term Exam.

Research Lesson - Students used Ipads to research muscle fibre types.

I was on a fixture. Students videoed each other doing different skills related to their sport.

Research lesson: Research the different types of movement at the joints and created a poster.

Three different types of joints. Researched the structure of a joint using tablets.
