Learners started to plan for their project; The World History Theme Park Project.
Week 34
We discussed about our project for this term: The World History Theme Park. A guide and rubric were shared with the students. Additionally, we learned how Moctezuma organised his Aztec Empire through a film documentary.
Week 33
Learners analysed sources to find out who benefitted from the Crusades.
Week 32
Learners learned about the Crusades. They analysed the speech delivered by Pope Urban II to find out what motivated the Crusaders to go for a long and dangerous journey. They also learned how the Crusade is different from the Muslim perspectives. Learners analysed the characters of Richard the Lionheart and Saladin.
Week 31
Learners researched about the three oldest religions that became popular in the Middle Ages; Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
Week 30
Learners learned and compared the feudal system in Europe and Japan. They analysed sources about the topic.
Week 29
Learners were introduced to the Middle Ages. They were given sources to analyse what was life like was during that period.

Week 19
Students work on Ancient Civilizations. Teacher assisted students with their power point presentations. Students work in small groups to investigate an ancient civilization and prepare a 15-20 minute of power point/slide presentation explaining key elements of civilization; religion, government, geography, economy and other aspects
Week 18
Learners had their presentation this week. They were also tasked to complete a Listening Worksheet to take notes on the important points for each topic.
Week 17
Learners continued to work in groups. This week, they were expected to finish their research and put in on a google/powerpoint presentation.
Week 16
Learners were divided into several groups, and were assigned to conduct a research on a certain early civilisation. Each group is expected to get information based on the key elements they learned in the previous week.
Week 15
Learners learned about the concept of civilisation, and its key elements.
Week 11-14
Learners are divided in three groups; Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. They are going to express their learnings through painting. At the end of Week 14, each learner is going to write a reflection.
Week 10
Pupils were tasked to choose three reasons and write a short paragraph on why pre-history people were great.
Week 9
Pupils were introduced to the Three Age System.
Week 8
Pupils learn about the significance of major discoveries in prehistory (fire and agriculture).

Pupils learned about how the early human survived.

Pupils learned about the early human migration.
Week 5
Pupils pretended as archaeologists and investigated varieties of tools used by early humans.
Week 4
Pupils were introduced to Prehistory. They were grouped and asked to draw one tool which they believed was used by the early humans.
Week 3
Pupils continued to learn more about Chronology. A homework was sent home.

Pupils learned about the concept of Chronology.

Pupils investigated the mystery of a Tollund Man as an introductory lesson in KS3 History.
