WEEK 22 : Students were introduced instructions in classe in French and were able to recall to understand when giving instructions in French for the next class. They learned definite and indefinite articles un, une, des/le, la les - understand the different use according the gender of a noun.
WEEK 21 : Students recalled interrogative words with addition of Who and How and learned question with inversion verb-subject. They produced their own questions using all the interrogative words and inversion way. They were able to express daily routine with conjugated verb in speaking.
WEEK 20 : Students did some descriptions of rooms using prepositions and objects of the house by writing. They learned interrogation words Where, How many and What. They had mid term test this week on daily routine, rooms in a house and description of a room.
WEEK 19 : Students learned on how to describe a room by using two expressions "J'ai ...." , "Dans la chambre, il y a ..." using the list they have made and prepositions for them to prepare expression writing and comprehension writing for the next lesson to describe rooms.
WEEK 18 : Students were introduced to conjugation of irregular verbs and conjugation exercise for I, you, he, she. Students went to computer lab for comprehension oral activities and searched for objects in a house.
WEEK 17 : Students learned ten basic infinite verbs of daily routine by associating the verb and its image. They have been introduced to verb conjugation for I, you, he, she for verbs ended with -er.
WEEK 16 : Students refreshed what they have learnt in Term 1 with Mr Yoann.
WEEK 15 : Present oneself: name, age, place of living, nationality, preferred colour, favourite sport and number of brother and sister.

Week 1: Students were taught greetings and introduced to the Cambridge IGCSE French examination. Aware of the requirement that prior knowledge of French is required for the course so that they will have to do extra work to catch up. Edmodo classroom as been set up and memrise will be used to built up a vocabulary based for students. Vocabulary test will occur on a weekly basis.
Week 2: Using Edmodo and our temporary online textbook Liberte, students learned about school objects, masculine and feminine, verb to be present tense, adjectives to describe personality.
Week 3: Introduction to the present tense and numbers from 1 to 60. Worksheets available on Edmodo and memrise to practise the use of the present tense regular ER, IR and RE.
Week 4: Students were taught how to use adjectives and grammatical rule regarding adjective agreement. Adjectives describing personality and activities to build up longer sentences with the use of connectives gave students opportunity to describe themselves, their peers and teachers.
Week 5: Introduction to the grammatical rule of conjugated verb + infinitive (present tense). Students learned what was the difference between conjugated and infinitive form. Extensive practice over describing what students like to do, love to do, don't like to do and hate to do. Homework was given to lean vocab from memrise and to write a 300 words essay using vocabulary support sheet.
Week 6: Assessment (Writing) related to introducing yourself and family.
Week 7: Students received their writing test and feedback on how to improve and what was good in the piece of writing they produced. We revisited the present tense and the endings as well as important verbs in the present such as the auxiliary verbs (to have and to be). Students also learnt about animations in French and got to produce a flickbook to illustrate the root of cinema. As homework students have been asked to produce their own using the template given.
Week 8: Students learnt about past tense with auxiliary to be and to have rule in French. They had to write 200 words on the topic of what they did last weekend.
Week 9: Students prepared for their oral assessment which will be related to past tense.
Week 10: Speaking assessment
Week 11: Students learnt about close future and their hobbies.
Week 12: Students learnt about hobbies and created paragraph about what they will do next holidays.
