They start describe a person by telling the appearance. The vocabulary they learnt are 身体 (body)、眼睛 (eyes)、鼻子 (nose)、耳朵 (ears)、嘴巴 (mouth)、手 (hand)、脚 (leg)、脸 (face)、头 (head)、头发 (hair).

In Week 10, students learn about the celebration of the Halloween.
In Week 9, students learn the vocabulary which related to the questions they learnt in week 8.
In Week 8, students learn to ask and answer the questions which related to their past birthday celebration.

“这是你几岁的生日派对?” (When did you have this birthday celebration?)
“你在哪儿庆祝生日派对?” (Where did you celebrate the birthday party?)
“你收到什么礼物?” (What you received as a gift?)
“谁来你的生日派对?” (Who attended the birthday party?)
In Week 7, students learn the new topic "我的生日派对". They learn to tell about the past birthday celebration and is able to tell their birthday in Mandarin.
In Week 6, students finished the Unit 1 test.
In Week 5, students did several role play about telling their sickness to the doctor. They did a great job!
In Week 4, students learn to answer "你生病了吗?“( Are you sick?) and ”你那里不舒服?“(Where do you feel uncomfortable?). Also, they learn the new sentence pattern which is "你需要...(you need to...)".
In Week 3, students had activities to practice the vocabulary they learnt and use them in their daily conversation.
In Week 2, students learn about Sickness/Health. The vocabulary which related are "生病"(sick), "伤风"(flu), "感冒"(catch a cold), "咳嗽"(cough), "拉肚子"(diarrhea), "头痛"(Headache), "肚子痛"(stomachache), "减肥"(keep fit), "医生"(doctor), "不舒服"(not feeling well), "头晕"(dizzy), "发烧"(fever), "喉咙痛"(sore throat).
