This week, students continued Metcon workouts. Metcon” is a popular term used to describe a workout involving repeated and/or sustained high-intensity exercises, usually involving weight lifting movements, with short rest periods in order to burn fat or create a “conditioning” effect.
Mr Ross- Students were set into their different swimming classes. The focus this week was body positioning and legs while doing freestyle.

Mr Ross: Breast Stroke - Students focused on maintaining a flat streamline body and a powerful leg kick. Through out the week, we developed arm movement, breathing and timing.

Mr Ross - Students developed shooting skills and progressed this to the layup.
Ms Amy- This week students looked at how to control the football. They also started to referee the games to ensure understanding of the rules.
Mr Nas - Students played Football and continued with a basics technique of passing, ball control, run with the ball and shooting to the goal. Students played 3 v 3 and 5 v 5 in a small sided games.

Mr Nas - Students played Football and continued with a basics technique of passing, ball control, run with the ball and juggling skills. Students played 1 v 1, 2 v 2 and 3 v 3 in a small sided games.

This week, students studied to correct start for a race, correct relay exchange, and had their 100m run timed.

9M - Students learnt Long Jump and used the correct technique while performing the events. Students were given the chance to train for the upcoming Sports Day - Athletics Carnival.
