In week 20, we practised comprehension and completed a Unit Test. The students also choose their reading books.

In week 19, we focused on letter and email writing. Specifically, we created an email format and practised its use. Later in the week, we practised completing comprehension by looking for only relevant information.

In week 18, we focused on online grammar tests, extracting information for summary writing and note-taking. We also practiced on our speaking skills individually with the given topics. We also answered comprehension questions, find meaning of words and note-taking based on a text.

In week 17, we concentrated on summary writing and note taking, step by step all the way.

In week 16, we focused on matching information activities and writing, which we brainstormed ideas as a group before writing it individually.

In week 15, students were divided into 5 different groups consisting of 4 students each, assigned different topics to each group to be discussed and find information pertaining to the topics. Students are called out randomly from each group to present the topic, while teacher further questions them to gauge their understanding on the subject matter.

In week 14, we focused more on effective writing skills and made drafts of writings pertaining to tasks.

In week 13, we did revision based on the question paper, and revisited the areas which were challenging.

In week 10, we focused on finding for information to write pertaining to the headings given and write linked summary from the information gathered.

In week 9, we worked on writing skills, looking into linking words and sentence construction inclusive of tenses and grammar component.

In week 8, we focused on summary writing, answering comprehension questions and finding meaning words difficult to understand, which will enrich list of vocabularies to be used in writing.

In week 7, we concentrated on our writing via drafting and outline mode and looked at strategies of writing summary, where we engaged in various exercises.

In week 6, we concentrated on writing, further focusing on vocabulary and the sentence structures. Students were taught how to research topics pertaining to the writing tasks given.

In week 5, students sat for their Term 1A exam. Earlier in the week, we concentrated on answering the comprehension questions correctly and writing using extended vocabularies.
Week 4

In week 4, students attempted to write a poem in pairs or threes for the Peace Day Poem Competition. Their finished work was submitted. Students work in small groups on different given topics to be presented in turns.

In week 3, we focused on making short notes from information gathered from a reading passage. We also had discussion based on an article writing task, working on the vocabularies that can be used and looking at different ways to write creatively the given task.

In week 2, we did an online quiz by completing missing words in a write-up, completed comprehension questions based on a passage and write notes under headings based on a passage read.

In week 1, we focused on writing, which is writing an informal letter by doing strategic planning and writing drafts to amend the mistakes done.
