After learning decoding strategies last week, students had a mix & match activity to form Chinese characters. Each of them decode a set of Chinese characters and the classmates got a random set assigned and then start matching and forming Chinese characters. Most of them could get the characters matched correctly 👍
Students have gained confidence in reproducing the Chinese characters, and so we had a Free Writing session which students write independently for 10 minutes. The more correct Chinese characters they wrote, they more Dojo points they earned. They enjoyed very much in the writing session!
