In week 20, students continue to practice how to set and mark comprehension questions. This will help them to understand the requirement of exam.

In week 18, students have corrected the mistake they made in mock exam.
In week 17, students have sat for their mock exam.
In week 16, students have sat for their mock exam.
In week 15, students have learned the answer techniques for paper 1. Also, they have revised on the descriptive writing skills.
In week 14, E3 students have appreciated short novel "Obedient"(听话) by Chen Yuanshan (陈苑珊) and understand the importance of atmosphere in novel.
E3 students have completed and discussed IGCSE pass year paper (2018 zone 1).
In week 13, E2 students have appreciated a short novel "Obedient"(听话) by Chen Yuanshan (陈苑珊). They were given 40 questions about the short novel along with the text. Then, they have to work in group to analyse or answer the question as a preparation to answer it verbally in the coming lesson.
E3 students have completed their project. Also, they have appreciated and analysed a debate match video.
In week 12, students have discussed their unit test with teacher. Also, they continued to work on their project.

In week 10, E2 students have worked in group to voice out their analysis of short novel “像我这样的一个女子” by Xi Xi (西西) that they had carried out last week. They have been discussed the unusual or special job that they have chose. In addition, they have worked on the mind map regarding to the imitation piece of their novel. Also, they are working on their imitation piece in the google classroom under the guidance of teachers.
E3 students have practiced argumentative writing. They have written three topics with given evidence. Also, they have been given a set of comprehension questions as homework.
In week 9, E2 students have worked in pairs to analyse short novel “像我这样的一个女子” by Xi Xi (西西) in various aspects including the plot, narrative style, writer effects, literary devices and so on. They are required to do research on unusual or special job during weekend as part of preparation to imitate the novel.
E3 students have had a debate on “我选择高薪但不喜欢的工作/低薪但很喜欢的工作”. Also, they have written two topics with given evidence.
In week 8, E2 students are exposed to the development and management of climax. They have been introduced to the "The Boy in the Bank" (银行里的男孩) for the analysis of plot. They have learnt on how to manage climax in the narratives. Also, they have read “The Lost Innocence" (纯真遗落), by Liao Yuhui (廖玉蕙). They have to interpret the management of plot in the text and point out where the climax is. Moreover, they have to develop the plot based on six words stories (English) as part of practice to manage climax.
E3 students have revised two argumentative techniques: seek further clarification and use at least two examples/evidences in each argument/point. Also, they have been guided to complete argumentative project: Interview students and teachers regarding certain issues and write a report.
In week 7, E2 students have revised on the format of argumentative writing by analysing debate match video. Also, they have discussed unit test 1 and done the correction. Lastly, they have revised on some summary techniques: Divide into two paragraphs, use conjunction in a sentence, write two points in one sentence.
E3 students have discussed their unit test 1. Also, they have been introduced to various type of introduction in narrative writing and they have to create an two introduction for a narrative title based on the introduction that they have learnt. In addition, they need to write a full diary of certain day as an old man based on a piece of short diary entries given.
In week 6, E2 and E3 students have had their unit test 1.
In week 5, E3 students have been introduced to chinese riddles and the production of riddles as part of celebration of Mid-Autumn Festival. Also, they have worked in group to voice their analysis of short novel “像我这样的一个女子” by Xi Xi (西西) that they had carried last week. They have been discussed the unusual or special job that they have chose. In addition, they have worked on the mind map regarding to the imitation piece of their novel.
