Week 34
It's over. Weeks of determination, inspiration, and procrastination are over. And the students can relax... for a short while, until they begin their further examinations and their IGCSEs become obsolete. Beginning the cyclical rate race of competing intelligence and skills, all vying for those dollar dollar bills y'all.
Week 33
All quiet on the Western, Eastern, Northern, and Southern fronts. Or as the class like to say: Left, right, up, and down fronts
Week 32
Paper 2 appeared like the holy grail at the start of this week. Some students questioned what the brightly coloured piece of paper with lines and symbols was... Others asked what Paper 2 was... and a few completed the exam. Mr Luke's nerves were brought out again by how easy some found it. Especially considering he struggled with some of the questions.
Week 31
A quiet week in the world of geography. A small fraction of the class considered Paper 2, while the rest concentrated on other subjects that they deemed to be more important, dismissing the growing necessity of the humanities in helping us understand the problems of the future
Week 30
Students sat their Paper 1 exam. The students were cool, calm and collected; while Mr Luke was a nervous wreck, reflecting the ever increasing accountability of the teaching profession that allows students to shirk their responsibilities and contribute towards the blame culture of today's society.
Week 29
A few students approached Mr Luke for extra studying time. We regaled in adventurous stories from our past, identifying the geographical issues that permeated throughout
Week 28
Students experienced great sadness in their final week of Geography. There were many tears at the thought of not having Mr Luke stand in front of them and tell them about ox-bow lakes and population pyramids.
Good luck.
