Week 36 : In this week they started to do their final product. They were given clay and had to work with the clay. They explored on how to handle that clay. Teacher briefed them on how to use clay, how to join a body part of sculpture and how to care for the clay.
Week 35 : In this week, teacher selected one of the best drawing from the eight to ten pieces of drawing to make into the final product. Then they needed to label each of the drawing with : Materials, techniques and framed.
Week 34: In this week they continued to experiment with wire.
Week 33 : In this week they started to experiment with wire. Teacher gave them a human body proportion
Week 32: In this week they had to complete the research and they completed the gesture drawing.
Week 31: In this week they started to do the six thinking hats and the artist was Edgar Degas.
Week 30 : In this week there was a briefing about term 3.1 project where they need to produce a sculpture and pieces of thumbnails. Teacher gave two options whether they want to do in a pair or individual and this is the differentiation of the learning and they started by doing 10 thumbnails of drawing inspired by Edgar Degas and Sarah Mckay.
Week 29: In this week, new artist was introduced : Edgar Degas. Teacher briefed about artist biography and they had to jot down all the info in their art book and started with creating a title page about ''Edgar Degas''
Week 28: In this week a few of them just completed the Impressionism task that they haven't done yet. Some of them had completely done the term 2 reflection paper.
Week 27: In this week, they completed the haystack thumbnails by using wet and dry media.
Week 26: In this week they completed the Impressionism task 1. Next week they need to submit Impressionism task 2.
Week 25: In this week they started their Impressionism task. The lesson objective of this task was to understand the term ‘impressionism’ and how to create an impressionist image and this activity will be continued next week.
Week 24: In this week, new topic was introduced : Impressionism. Teacher briefed them about ''Impressionist artists, 6 thinking hats and the 4 main seasons in Impressionism era. They had to jot down all the info in their process journal and they started with creating ''a title page of Impressionism'' which is need to be submitted next week.
Week 23: In this week they continued and some of them finished the Alice in Wonderland task. Next week they will start to learn new topic which is Impressionism.
Week 22: In this week they continued their final task with Alice in Wonderland.
Week 21: In this week they started their final task in linking Alice in Wonderland and Surrealism. The size of the paper was A2 size and they started with the bricks and this activity will be continued next week.
Week 20 : In this week they completed the presentation of the AIW and the bricks. Teacher gave them sampling paper and they needed to tick what they had missed.
Week 19 : In this week they completed the aiw and the bricks.
Week 18: In this week they continued the project in linking the Alice in Wonderland and the bricks.
Week 17 : In this week they have to submit their brick wall painting challenge and have to do the final touch up.
Week 16 : In this week they continued their brick wall painting challenge and teacher showed the easiest ways on how to finish the bricks in short time.
Week 15: In this week teacher introduced them with a new element that can be linked to Surrealism. Then teacher briefed introduction about Surrealism to the students. After that they had to find the keywords of summary for the Alice in Wonderland after watching a video about it. Then they started to do three thumbnails of bricks by using wet media.
Week 13: In this week they completed their final task sheet which was Surrealism. Some of them completed the WWW and EBI.
Week 14: In this week was the submission week for the final task sheet. Some of them still touched up their final task sheet. Then teacher recapped this term lesson and the feedback of this term lesson. Teacher also asked about topics that they want to learn next term.
Week 12: In this week they did the preparations for the final task sheet. The final task sheet was given to them and they started to sketch some ideas and some of them started to use dry and wet media to insert the colour.
Week 11: In this week, new topic was introduced : Surrealism. Teacher briefed them about ''Surrealist artists, 6 thinking hats and the 4 main visual devices in Surrealism era. They had to jot down all the info in their process journal and they started with creating ''a title page of Surrealism'' which is need to be submitted next week.
Week 10: This week is submission week for Baseline assessment 3. So this week was the last week to touch up the subject matter, title, colour chips and WWW and EBI. Some of them completed the WWW and EBI while some of them will continue after Deepavali holiday.
Week 9 : In this week they continued their baseline assessment 3. Teacher chose a few of strong students to help weak students or ''Peer assessment''. Strong students taught the weak students in terms of reflection, lighting, tones, tints, shades, rule of third and etc. This will be an indicator for them to learn from each other and howto be a thoughtful in their learning process.
Week 8 : In this week teacher introduced them a new system which was ''A clear file''. Teacher called one by one to guide how to manage all of the completed files must be sort into their clear file. In the meantime , teacher started to demo Baseline Assessment 3.
Week 7 : In this week, a brief about how to do analysis and art annotation guide was given to the student. Teacher showed them the simplest way to make them easier to write their annotations. This annotations could help for the weak students in writing part. Then they continued final touched up for their baseline assessment.
Week 6 : In this week, some of them completed thumbnail three and some of them continued and started to do thumbnail 3. Next week baseline assessment 2 need to hand in to Ms Tiya with completed artworks : Title, colour chips and technique must be written on the paper. Next week they need to bring a real fruit which 5 options were given ; Apple , Pear, Lemon, Banana and Orange and they need to choose either 5 option and bring it on next art class.
Week 5 : In this week, teacher showed some keywords and they needed to jot down the keywords. Then they continued their thumbnails with the colour chips. Next week will be the last week to complete this activity.
Week 4 : In this week teacher introduced the students about the keywords that they might not know : Viewfinder, close up and dry media. They were still continuing with Baseline Assessment on dry media. Teacher showed them on how to do the next activity by showing how to use ''Viewfinder'' in front of the class.They were given marking sheets and they needed to mark which technique on baseline assessment they have done. After they handed in the previous activity they can continue new activity.
Week 3 : In this week they continued with the baseline assessment : Pears with two different boxes (Pointillism and scribble techniques)
Week 1 & 2 : In these two weeks, they started the baseline assessment with pointillism technique. In their art block / process journal they divided into two boxes and first box they will be using graded pencils and charcoal while the second box they will be using drawing pen. Since they were familiar with graded pencils, charcoal and drawing pen all of them can carried the task sensibly and the lesson went smoothly.
