WEEK 38 : Students presented their country they have chose last week in front of the class.
WEEK 37 : Students were exposed to french speaking countries and were required to prepare a presentation of a country chosen.
WEEK 35 : Students did revision on topics they have learned along this one academic year 2018/19 to prepare for their End Year Exam.
WEEK 34 : Students did comprehension writing exercise and learned on how to describe a picture using verbs and vocabularies learnt.
WEEK 33 : Students learned on how to answer essay questions related to Sports and their preference.
WEEK 32 : Students did their Term Test 3.1.
WEEK 31 : Students were introduced to new topic - Sports. They learned verbes that are use related to sports - faire de and jouer à. The difference of these two verbes depend on the type of sports, equipments that are use for the sport.
WEEK 30 : Students learned how to say time (part 2) in French. They did exercise on this and practised verbally on how to say time.
WEEK 29 : Students were introduced new topic on Hobbies. They learned new vocabularies on hobbies and expressions on how to say time.
WEEK 28 : No class for Year 9 as they sat for Checkpoints.
WEEK 27 : Students had their revision for the whole unit of School Life and sat for the Unit test.
WEEK 26 : Students listed out spaces/rooms in school and brainstormed suitable actions (verbs) for that particular place.
WEEK 25 : Students learned expression on telling day and date. They were able to tell the subject time and day using the timetable they made last class.
WEEK 24 : Students learned school subjects in French and made their own school timetable in French.
WEEK 23 : Students prepared words for sports and school materials to be sticked in class. They recalled indefinite and definite articles.
WEEK 22 : Students were introduced instructions in class in French. They recalled school materials and enriched their vocabularies in this area.
WEEK 21 : Students recalled interrogative words with addition of Who and How and learned question with inversion verb-subject. They produced their own questions using all the interrogative words and inversion way.
WEEK 20 : Students did some descriptions of rooms using prepositions and objects of the house by writing. They had mid term test this week on daily routine, rooms in a house and description of a room.
WEEK 19 : Students learned on how to describe a room by using two expressions "J'ai ...." , "Dans la chambre, il y a ..." using the list they have made and prepositions for them to prepare expression writing and comprehension writing for the next lesson to describe rooms. Revision colours and numbers.
WEEK 18 : Students learned basic rooms in a house and objects that are commonly exist in a house such as bed, lamp, stove, table, television and couch. They did their own list of objects for five rooms of their choice.
WEEK 17 : Students learned ten basic infinite verbs of daily routine by associating the verb and its image. They were introduced to verb conjugation for I, you, he, she for verbs ended with -er.
WEEK 16 :
Week 15: Present oneself - name, age, place of living, nationality, preferred colour, favourite sport and number of brother and sister.
Week 1: Students were introduced to French language and French language speaking countries, students can now greet and introduce themselves in French. Bravo!
Week 2: Students learned about classroom objects and revisited greetings in French.
Week 3: Students learned about numbers from 1-20 and are now able to tell their birthday in French.
Week 4: Students learned about days of the week, numbers up to 31 and months
Week 5: Students learned about adjective agreement and colours
Week 6: Assessment on module 1 of Expo (pages available on Edmodo)
Week 7: Students learnt about siblings and possessive in French mon/ma/mes; ton/ta/tes and son/sa/ses. Results have been given to students and the assessment will go home for parents to monitor achievement.
Week 8: Students learned about animals and agreement for plural.
Week 9: Practise of Jai/je n ai pas de Je suis/je ne suis pas Mon, ma, mes/ton, ta, tes Use of the negative Possessive adjective Je/tu/il/elle of avoir and être Agreement of adjectives. Revision of avoir and être. Description of personality and height was covered during the lesson. Students also learned about French culture and learned a recipe.
Week10: Students learnt about personality and had the opportunity to bake some French food. Assessment will take place next week.
Week 11: Assessment, vocab uploaded on Edmodo.
Week 12: Students learnt about description of where they live. Details about the house and their bedroom.
