In week 23, the kids were able to perform different challenges assigned to them for the whole week. They were able to do their science investigation task and presented it. They were able to do some Science experiments, too.
In week 22, kids were able to tell the different food groups and comment on their own plans and products and suggest areas of improvement. They were able to know that products in everyday use have an effect on people's lives. They were able to tell the significant things they have observed from the festival they have experienced.
In week 21, Year 2M were able to know that products in everyday use have an effect on people's lives. They were able to plan what they are going to make, describe their plans in pictures and words and choose appropriate tools and materials for their tasks. They have sorted different kind of foods where they come from, will able to draw a flow diagram of a certain food, with words and pictures, to show the stages in the process.
In week 20, The children were able to create a comic strip and a commemorative sculpture to communicate their historical knowledge and understanding of historical events.
In week 19, the children were able to tell that events and people's actions have caused and effects and order events and objects into a sequence.
In week 18, the kids were able to able to communicate their historical knowledge and understanding in a variety of ways. They were also able to know stories about a range of people who have lived in a variety of cultures in the past.
In week 17, Year 2s were able to use keywords and phrases relating to the passing of time. They were also able to identify differences between their own lives and ask and answer questions about the past.
In week 16, Year 2M was able to create a timeline of the events that have happened in the past by using keywords and phrases relating to the passing of time. They were able to tell some events and people’s actions that have happened in the past had causes and effects and tell that each past is represented by a variety of ways
In week 15, Year 2M was able to mark an important event of the past by planning a celebration. They were also able to share what they know about some important events that have happened in the past.
In week 14, Year 2M was able to understand the importance of having clean and safe drinking water. They were also able to share some ways on how to save water.
In week 13, Year 2M were able to tell the rules of the groups where they belong and tell some major celebrations - including some in the host country. They were also able to understand that there are children in other countries who need help as they experience drought and famine. They also understood that it is important to save water.
In week 12, Year 2M were able to create a plan of what they are going to make, describe their plans in pictures and words, and use simple tools and materials to make the products.
In week 11, Year 2M were able to use a map at a variety of scales to locate positions of their host/home country and use geographical sources to obtain geographical information. They were also able to communicate their knowledge and understanding in a variety of ways. They identified the differences between their own lives and those of people who lived in the past. They found simple information of the past from a range of sources and communicate historical knowledge and understanding in a variety of ways
In week 10, Year 2M were able to communicate knowledge/ learning about the receptors in different ways. They were also able to know about the weather and climatic conditions in particular localities and how they affect the environment and the lives of people living there. They practiced using a map at a variety of scales to locate the position and geographical features of their host country and home country and use secondary sources to obtain geographical information.
In week 9, Year 2M was able to tell the different parts of the teeth, tell the differences between primary and secondary teeth, and molars, incisors, and canines and tell how to take good care of our teeth. They also able to tell the different types of animals and what they eat and know that some animals use their teeth too to eat.
In week 8, Year 2 were able to perform simple investigations about growing a plant and our taste buds. They were also able to identify the different parts of the plants. They were able to know that animals always used their taste receptors to survive.
In week 6, Year 2 was able to identify what a healthy diet is. They were also able to know about the importance of exercise and healthy eating.
In week 6, Year 2 was able to create a plan for a safe area to start the new unit, 'We are What we Eat'. They were also able to decide on a role and create a character for themselves, answer simple questions related to their role, and identify areas and materials in the cafeteria.
In week 5, Year 2 was able to know how to use what we have learned to create our special challenge. They were able to tell that knowledge and skills equal understanding. They also can tell how to wake up our brain and look after our brain. They were able to talk about their learning and write a short message describing what they learned about the unit.
In week 4, year 2 was able to know that we can affect the quality of our learning. They were able to find facts to prepare for the new challenge. They were able to learn and practice skills for the new challenge. They knew how to record how well they are learning.
In week 3, Year 2 was able to know that they can improve their learning. They also know the different personal IPC goals. They were able to find out that knowledge + skills = understanding, that each of these is an important part of one's learning.
In week 2, Year 2 was able to realise the importance of the brain and how it can affect the quality of children's learning. They were able to share what they know about the brain and how people learn.
