Students covered the areas of sectors and the lengths of arcs in a circle. We also began volumes of regular prisms.

Students covered Surface Area and Volumes of Prisms, Spheres, Cylinders and Pyramids. Students were introduced to nets. Next week will be a comprehensive review of Mensuration along with practice online via the ck-12.org website. Unit test to follow on Thursday the 31st.

Week 1 and 2 - Students began work by reviewing KS3 topics such as LCM, GCF, Prime Factoring, Standard form of numbers. Ratio, percentages, reverse percentages, and proportions made up the bulk of week 2's studies. Students can expect their first test on or around end of week 3.
