• Learners analysed the reasons for the defeat and surrender of Germany in the Second World War. They were given assignment about the Japanese occupation in Malaysia.

• Learners learned the differences between prejudice and discrimination through analysis of case studies. This is an introductory lesson about the Sho'ah or better known as the Holocaust.

• Learners learned about the life of different groups of people in World War II. They talked about the good and bad experiences of this people and write diary entries.

• Learners continued to analyse sources about the life in Nazi Germany. This week we looked at the role of youth, women and propaganda in achieving Hitler's aims. Learners are expected to write a balanced newspaper article to be submitted next class.

• For this week, learners were given an assignment to write a newspaper article that tells the life in Nazi Germany. They analysed photographs and made an impression of the historical event. They were also asked to read and sort statements about the positive and the negative impact of the Nazi to the different group of people in Germany.

• Learners were asked to decide if World War II was a global war through a map analysis. They also had an assessment.

• Learners recalled the different causes of the Second World War, and focus on the weaknesses and strengths of the League of Nations, especially Britain and France. This is in preparation for next week's focus: the beginning of the Second World War.

• Students will undertake an assignment to critically evaluate the Treaty of Versailles.
• In the second lesson we will re-create the Treaty of Versailles through role played aimed at understanding the contrasting feelings and emotions of the Big 3 in this process.

• Students will undertake an assignment to critically evaluate key moments and strategies in the major battles of World War One.
• In the second lesson we will investigate the case of Harry Farr who was shot for cowardice in 1916 and form our own perspectives regarding the rights and wrongs of this case.

• The Strategy of the War
• This will be peer assessed and grades ranging from 5A (Describe and explain) to 7C (Evaluate showing two different perspectives whilst referring to primary source evidence)
• A source based exercise evaluating whether General Haig was a Butcher, a blunderer or a hero will conclude the week.
