SWBAT:

2. Notice that the hammers are TEXTURE SILHOUETTES and NOT HAMMERS
1. Hide all your layers except for the texture/pattern you have chosen to use for your texture silhouettes.
Note: Please participate in this lesson even if you are behind. You need just 1 Texture / Pattern to make the shapes / silhouettes.
But you should have 6 Pattern / Texture Layers not including the Ocean or Pattern provided in Lesson 2 so catch up on that as soon as possible if you need to.
Copy and paste a THEME object with an interesting SILHOUETTE and CONTRASTING white BACKGROUND
1. If the image you just pasted has a contrasting background you can use the MAGIC WAND to SELECT and DELETE the WHITE PIXELS.
2. Use the MAGIC WAND to SELECT the ENTIRE area OUTSIDE the object.
1. DESELECT so you don't have any marching ants.
2. With the MAGIC WAND, click on the EMPTY SPACE around the object.
3. Choose SELECT > INVERSE to flip the selection so the object is now selected.
1. Turn Off the Object Layer
2. Highlight the Texture layer
3. Copy and Paste to create a new layer
4. Rename the new layer "Texture Shape" if you want to.
1. Turn off the texture layer so all you see is the pasted texture shape
1. With the move tool selected, Option - Drag to duplicate the texture shape layers.

if you want a perfectly aligned and distributed pattern, use the align and distribute icons in the options bar.
