SWBAT:
1....use adjustment layers to change the color of layers.
2...use clipping masks to control which layers are adjusted
3...use color/value to create emphasis
1. Open your Surreal Environment file
2. Choose a layer that you want to change the color of.
3. Use your color theory knowledge to decide how you will change it.
1. Highlight the layer whose color you want to change.
2. Click on the Layer Adjustments icon at the bottom of the layers palette.
The Adjustment Layer Icon looks like a little black and white cookie.
3. Choose Color Balance or Hue Saturation. The Color Balance option is a way to get a more natural color effect
1. Right-Click on the Adjustment layer and choose CLIPPING MASK from the pop-up menu
The CLIPPING MASK will make the adjustment layer ONLY EFFECT the layer directly below it
1. Drag the sliders from left to right until you get the
color you want.
Remember you can use the Hue Saturation "Colorize"
option to make your layer Monochromatic if you want.
1. Adjust the color on at least one more layer so you have TWO EFFECTIVE ADJUSTMENT LAYERS with CLIPPING MASKS
1. Apply an Adjustment Layer to the layers in a Folder Group. This way you can apply changes to more than one layer at a time.
See Left (don't forget clipping mask)
