1. Type in search words that relate to your cover article
2. Use tools to search for large images
3. Find images with negative space or unified areas of color/value for placing text
4. Download and name files so you easily find them later
1. Fold a piece of paper into quarters for 2 - 4 sketches
2. Start by sketching a rectangle or the text for your Masthead
3. Next, sketch in your image while thinking about where you will put the text
1. Continue by adding rectangles/lines to indicate text size and placement
2. Sketch 2-4 different composition ideas.
