SWBAT
1....use the POLYGONAL LASSO tool
(with a zero feather setting) to select,
copy and paste texture shapes.
2...use the PAINT BUCKET to fill
SELECTION areas to count as
CUT OUT TEXTURES
1. Turn off all layers except figure reference and 1 texture/pattern
2. Position the texture so that it completely covers the area you want a texture shape to be in.
1. Turn off the texture layer
2. Create a Polygonal Tool selection with a ZERO feather setting that defines the shape you want.
(See sample left)
1. Turn texture layer back on
2. Make sure it is also highlighted in the layers panel
3. Copy and Paste the marching ant selection to make a new layer
4. Turn the Texture layer off and keep it hidden for future use in case you need it.
1. Follow the steps in sections 3-5 and cut out 4 more shapes from your textures.
2. Get a different figure reference if you're not happy with the pose of your figure.
1. CREATE a NEW LAYER and name it if you want to. (See 1 Left)
2. Create a marching ant SELECTION area with the POLYGONAL LASSO tool. (See 2 Left)
3. Choose aCOLOR wither with the COLOR PICKER or the SWATCHES PANEL and use the PAINT BUCKET tool to fill the area (See 3 Left)
