2. Make changes if needed
1. The first margins you create are for the printing area. You can have a color background touch those guide
2. Create new margins for where you want your text to line up around the edges of your poster.
The margins for text here at at .5" from the edge
3. Add some horizontal guides to mark out where your paragraphs are going to be
4. Be sure to lock them
1. Draw a neatly positioned rectangle in your GRAPHICS layer.
2. Position/Scale it so it fits perfectly inside the printable area margins you already created.
3. Open The GRADIENT and COLOR Panels
4. Choose the Grayscale Gradient from the swatches on te control bar (see below).
1. in the GRADIENT PANEL, edit the sliders by highlighting them and adjusting the sliders in the COLOR PANEL
See how the second gradient slider is highlighted with a black triangle. It is also represented in the color panel.

1. Use the selection tool to scale and position your headline
2. Touch the guides with your headline or adjust your guides to touch your headline.
Using guides on your headline will help you line up graphics and text later on for a more organized and professional looking layout

3. Edit the drawing by adding more details
