1...ADD a digital FIGURE REFERENCE
2....Copy and Paste 5 or more TEXTURES/PATTERNS from the INTERNET
3...show understanding of resolution dependance with the texture tiling activity
2. DRAW on PAPER, photograph, and email to yourself
3. PAINT your own FIGURE REFERENCE with the PS BRUSH / PENCIL TOOL
4. FULL FIGURE PHOTO IMAGE of a random person or the actual subject
5. Use a COMBINATION of 2 or more images/drawings
You can also choose to ignore the reference you paste into your file; you can just "free hand" your project.
1. Navigate to to full size image
2. Right click > Copy
3. Open Your Caricature.psd file and paste it in.
4. Delete any unwanted images on the layer and scale it up as needed.
It's okay to scale up your figure reference because
it will not be part of your final project.
You will just use the digital mannequin for a reference
and then delete it.
You can modify the digital mannequin as needed -
you don't have to use it exactly as it is.
You can also choose to ignore the reference you paste into your file; you can just "free hand" your project
1. Search for textures that have enough pixel dimension to maintain image quality.
Remember you need 300 pixels for every inch
2. Ask for help if you're not sure how to search for textures.

Pants.........Search for "denim fabric"
Hair............Search for "hair texture"
Boots.........Search for "leather texture"

1. Create a NEW LAYER
2. Choose 2 colors for your Foreground and Background colors
3. Filter > Render > Clouds
Options:
• Modify it more with more filters
• Use it in your project
• Don't use it in your project (show it to Ms. H before you delete it or leave it in your file for final grading)

3. Choose a second color for your BACKGROUND COLOR
4. Filter > Render > Fiber
