PSA Poster 3: Planning Sketches
1. Lesson Goals
SWBAT:
Create 4-6 Thumbnail Sketches in Pencil
2. Review Image Possibilities
1. Make sure you plan for Images that are not photographic
2. You will be learning how to use the Pen Tool to create more natural looking drawings
3. Option: Plan For Warped Text
1. Remember you can use Envelope Distort to Warp Text!
2. Review the Warp Options and consider using one in your poster
3. Plan it out in your sketching
4. 4-6 Loose Thumbnail Sketches
1. Use a pencil on paper provided
2. Plan text placement with lines and rectangles
3. Brush eraser dust onto the floor
4. Include your name and period

5. Color Scheme Guide: How to Keep it Simple!
1. Complementary colors are often a good choice for graphic design.
Complementary Colors are any pair of colors that are directly opposite each other on the color wheel. They create the most contrast.
2. Analogous and Monochromatic work well to add variety to a complementary color scheme.
Analogous Colors are colors that sit close to each other on the color wheel; they share a common color.
Monochromatic Colors are tints and shades of one color
