SWBAT:
1..convert Vector Smart Object layers into PIXELS by RASTERIZING them
2...use the MAGIC WAND Tool to SELECT white pixels for deleting
3...use the Select > Similar option
4...use the paint bucket to REPLACE WHITE PIXELS with COLOR
1. Hold the shift key and click to select all your Smart Object layers in your layers palette
2. Right click in the Layers Palette and choose "Rasterize Layers"
3. Notice that the Rasterized Layer will still be labeled as a Vector Smart Object but the little Vector icon will be gone. See above.
Rasterizing means to convert into pixels. Once you rasterize a vector smart object, you will not be able to scale it up without losing image quality.
1. Marching Ant selections can be made with any of the 9 PS Selections tools
2. Marching Ant selections are necessary to select specific pixels within a layer.
3. Marching Ant selections can only be made in one layer at a time.
4. Deselect a marching ant selection with the deselect option in the select menu
Select > Deselect
(Command D)
1. Use the Move Tool to select the layer you want to work in
2. Use the Magic Wand Tool to select the fill area of one of your shapes in that selected layer You will see a flashing dotted selection area (called "marching ants")
1. Select the layer you want to work in with the Move Tool
2. Click on some white pixels with the Magic Wand tool
3. Use the Select Menu > Select Similar option to easily select all the other white pixels in that layer.
Marching Ant Selections can only be made in one layer at a time.
1. DELETE!! Use the LARGE delete that's just above the RETURN key
2. To get rid of the marching ants, go to theSelect Menu > Deselect (Command D)
3. Undo/Repeat until you are happy with the way your work looks.
4. Apply this technique to all of your layers or... apply it to some and try the paint bucket technique for the others.
Do not leave any of your pixels white. They should all be deleted or filled with a new color
1. Select white pixels with the Magic Wand Tool
2. Set your Foreground color to the color you want.
3. Use the Fill option in the Edit Menu
Edit > Fill
Create a second file and paste other AI designs into it
You can name it T-Shirt Extra followed by your last name first name.

Strategy 1
1. Select the layer you want to work in with the Move Tool
2. Choose a color from the Swatches Palette.
3. Select the Paint Bucket and click on the white pixels. If too much gets painted, undo. and try Strategy 2
Strategy 2
1. First select the area with the Magic Wand. The Paint Bucketing will only go into the area with the marching ants.
Remember that the Paint Bucket may be hidden! Look for it under the Gradient Tool if you can't find it.
