1. Navigate to the FULL SIZE image and RIGHT CLICK and select COPY
2. ACTIVATE your TEXTURE NAME file and choose PASTE from the EDIT MENU
1. Select the Rectangle Marquee in your Tool Box
2. Go up to the Options Bar and set the Feather Setting to 30
1. Click and Drag a rectangular selection as shown left
1. Delete the selected pixels to create a feathered edge.
1. Drag the layer to the bottom left of your canvas and position it so that the feathered edge is hidden.
1. Option-Drag the feathered layer to make a copy.
Every new layer will be on top of the original layer. Keep an eye on your layers panel to see how this works!
2. Position the copy above the original layer and make the copy's feathered edge overlap the top edge of the original layer.
Feathered edges need to be on top and overlap so they can "blend" into the layer below
3. Repeat the Option-Drag copies until you have made a blended column.
1. Carefully Shift Click to select the ocean textures
Make sure not to select your other project layers or you will lose them during the merge
2. Right-Click and choose MERGE from the menu
1. Set the Rectangular Marquee feather setting to 30 if needed.
2. Click and Drag a rectangular selection with a feather setting of 30 (see left)
3. Edit > Cut or use the Delete Key to delete the selected pixels
TIP: You can only delete from one layer at a time so if you haven't merged your layers this will not work
1. Position the column to the right as shown left
1. Option-Drag the feathered layer to make a copy.
