SWBAT:
1. add a texture to an object or animal that has shading from the original image
2. COMPLETE Texture mapping exercise TWO TIMES.
1. Image > Adjustments > Brightness Contrast
Make the darks darker and the lights lighter
1. Filter > Noise > Median For the arm image 10 pixels works well.
The goal is to get rid of as much of the skin texture as possible without distorting and making it look fake
1. Filter > Blur > Gaussian > Blur
The arm doesn't need much of this filter to make it smoother after applying the median noise filter.
But if you're using your own images, you might need it
1. Select the WHITE background by clicking on the white background with the MAGIC WAND tool
2. SELECT the ARM by using the SELECT INVERSE option in the SELECT MENU: Select > Select Inverse
1. TURN ON the ZEBRA FUR layer and HIGHLIGHT it
1. With ZEBRA layer HIGHLIGHTED, Click ONCE on the LAYER MASK icon (See left)
1. Again with the ZEBRA layer HIGHLIGHTED, set the BLENDING MODE to OVERLAY (See left)
1. Complete a SECOND texture mapping of two or more images in your Surreal Environment project or Texture Mapping file.
2. Follow the steps on the website again carefully
3. Use the OVERLAY Blending Mode or try a different one. The one shown left has the DARKEN blending mode
