3. APPLY feathering and overlapping techniques to at least ONE AREA of their Surreal Creature projects

1. Click on the Surreal Creature Feathering.psd link to open it on the Google Drive. Download it into your Downloads folder.

2. Name it Surreal Creature Feathering followed by a space, your last name, and then your first.

Example:

1. Use a ZERO feather on the POLYGONAL LASSO tool to select and DELETE the BUMBY end of the branch as SHOWN LEFT.

1. Use the MOVE TOOL to OVERLAP the layers as SHOWN LEFT.

1. Select the POLYGONAL Lasso tool and enter a FEATHER setting of 30.

2. Make a CURVED marching ant SELECTION that will allow you to CUT OFF the BOTTOM of the giraffe's NECK as SHOWN LEFT.

1. Delete the area you selected.

2. CHECK your work AGAINST the sample SHOWN LEFT.

3. Undo and REDO if it DOESN'T LOOK RIGHT.

1. With the GIRAFFE SELECTED, go to EDIT MENU > TRANSFORM and choose the WARP option

2. While in WARP MODE, reshape the bottom of the GIRAFFE NECK so that it "FITS" the BRANCH better. See example SHOWN LEFT.

1. You can do a second surreal creature in your project or in the surreal creature file itself
