Add 2 Room Details
Transform the room details so the diagonals connect to the vanishing point
1. Make sure the pixel dimension is big enough! Remember your file is 300 DPI and it's 16" wide. Do the math!
2. Paste it into your file
3. Position it so the nearest edge is where you want it to be. The nearest edge of this window is the left edge.
1. Create a new layer and name it diagonals
1. The pencil tool is part of the brush tool group.
2. Edit the option in the Options Bar (see left)
1. Make sure you have the DIAGONALS layer SELECTED so that you DON'T DRAW black lines on your IMAGE LAYERS.
2. Click on the window corner.
3. Hold shift
4. Click again on the vanishing point and a line between the two clicks will appear.
1. Diagonals connect to the vanishing point.
2. The sides are perfectly vertical
1. Select the diagonal layer
2. Select > All
(Command A)
3. Delete
4. If you made a mistake and drew diagonals in one of your image layers, undo and follow the steps again making sure to draw with the pencil tool in a new empty layer
1. Don't forget to be careful! Make sure you DON'T DRAW LINES on your IMAGE LAYERS!
The Rubric calls for 2 details. If you don't want them in your final work, show them to me for credit and then delete them!
1. If you would like to add something that has more depth to it, find an image that is already about the right angle to connect to your vanishing point.
2. Use Edit > Transform > Warp to get the diagonals to line up as best as you can
