You can use a Finder window to navigate to different locations on your computer like DOWNLOADS, DESKTOP, DOCUMENTS, etc.
1. Click on the FINDER FACE to open a Finder Window
At the beginning of the semester you should have a clean login where you can save your work. Only delete files if they are left over from the previous semester.
1. At the TOP, Choose List View
2. From the SIDE BAR choose DESKTOP
3. Use the Command A Keyboard shortcut to select all
4. Use the Command Delete Keyboard shortcut to delete.
5. Repeat with DOCUMENTS & DOWNLOADS
6. Go to the Finder Menu and choose Empty Trash
POWER CORD should be plugged into the back middle of screen through hole in stand.
POWER STRIPS on the desks are plugged into outlets on the floor. Please check to see if there is one by your feet and be mindful of it every day so you don't kick it by mistake
POWER BUTTON is at the lower back left of your screen
1. Log in to the LOCAL ACCOUNT assigned to your class.
2. Click on the CHROME icon on the DOCK to load it
3. Click on another program icon to load it
4. Notice the BLACK SPOTS under the two programs you're running
5. Quit from the program menu
Closing a program window does not quit the program like it does on a PCIf you see your computer NEEDS an update, TELL MS. HOOKER. Some updates take up to two hours to completed and should therefor be done OUTSIDE of CLASS time when no one needs to use the computer
1. Review the LOCATION of the MENU BAR; it runs horizontally across the TOP of the SCREEN
2. The Menu Bar CHANGES according to which PROGRAM is actively running. Look to the RIGHT of the APPLE to see which one it is.
3. Click on the CHROME icon on your DOCK to reveal the CHROME MENU BAR
Add icons by FIRST LOADING the software. You can type in a SEARCH for it at the UPPER RIGHT corner of your screen.
Once the software is loaded, CONTROL CLICK on the ICON on the dock for the CONTEXT MENU and choose "Keep in Dock" (See left)
You can REMOVE icons by DRAGGING them OFF the DOCK

1. All students will use the same PROJECT NAME at the beginning of the file name. The 3 examples left are for the Comic Book Cover project.
2. After the project name the should be one space followed by your last name, then first name, and finally the file extension
