- This deck explores how plants and animals inherit traits from their parent. All activities may be completed in the slide deck. The final slide includes a link to a site where students can make up their own animal combining traits appropriate to their chosen habitat. As a closing activity, you may have students name their animal and write a story about how the chosen traits help them survive in the habitat.
